Olive Snook ([info]ittybitty) wrote in [info]labyrinth_rpg,
The negative answer relieved Olive somewhat, as did the look of horror on the woman's face. Anyone who looked that offended at being called a vampire, really must not be one. Olive nodded, happy with this news. "Good."

Olive heard the name, but it sounded so strange. She had never heard anything like it. She said it to herself a few times in her head before she repeated it aloud. "Nice to meet you, Amalthea." She tilted her head slightly, causing her blond bob to follow. "Well, yes. Sort of. It's a giant board game called Monopoly. I've played it before, but it was never this big. Usually those pieces are small enough for all of them to sit in the palm of your hand."

Olive glanced around. It felt just as strange to be explaining away giant board games as it was for Amalthea to ask. And because Amalthea had to ask, that meant she didn't recognize them and probably had never played them. Which could only mean one thing. She wasn't from Olive's time. She was either from a time before board games, or from a different world altogether. Which wasn't exactly strange, there were people from all sorts of times and worlds here. "Where are you from, anyway?" No, Olive wasn't afraid of being direct.
