Day 10
Who: Cathal and Alexandra
What: First Meetings
When: Early Evening
Where: The Game Booths
Rating: TBA
Status: Incomplete

Cathal had arranged with Tonks and Marcus to go through the maze the next day. He was glad for the opportunity to finally be doing something about his situation, but he was fidgety in the meantime. He'd seen the various booths throughout the park where faceless employees shouted at them to play games. A ring toss, shooting a clown with a water cannon, fishing for rubber ducks, racing horses with another water cannon, throwing balls at rotating mannequins. They all seemed very mundane, but it was something to keep him occupied at least.

He wore his cloak, but the hood was hanging down his back, exposing the tattoos on his face and shorn head. He wore a billowy tunic and leather pants tucked into heavy leather boots. He thought it incredibly convenient that the clothing he needed appeared in the chest at the foot of his bed every day. The running water in the bathroom was also incredibly convenient. He enjoyed the privacy of bathing alone and the ease with which the porcelain sculpture removed his waste.

He had to wonder if it was magic, but it didn't feel magic. It felt strange and odd, but not magical. The way his clothes appeared was magical, but he supposed that the bathroom equipment was simply an advent of the times. He shook his head as the faceless being in front of him set three balls down on the counter and stepped back. Cathal aimed at one of the targets and threw with deadly accuracy. The target went over backwards and the next two followed suit. He was handed a small stuffed elephant which caused a curl to form on his lips.

She had heard of Britain, but he had not heard of her places. He had long ago decided, however, that she must be from a different time than he was. Especially with that hair. He'd never known anyone with hair like that until he'd come here.

Cathal lifted a shoulder. She sure was stubborn, and confident. He wondered what she would do up against his father, and wondered if she would be as strong as Clodagh had been. He was biased, but he doubted it.

She shook his head at her question. "Nothing." He continued to stare at her, though, and he began to rethink the idea that he'd started to like her. She really was kind of brassy for a girl.
