Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
Entry tags:arrival, complete, day two, schuldig, yuna

WHO: Yuna and Schuldig
WHAT: The Lady Summoner arrives
WHEN: Day 2, evening
WHERE: The center of the City of Illusions
WARNINGS: It's Yuna, I don't see it going above a G. But then it is Schuldig, so anything is possible!
STATUS: Complete

She had barely gotten used to Mirage, and it seemed that even the few that she had met there were leaving at an alarming rate. Perhaps they were going home. Perhaps she would be back in Spira soon. Yuna, the lady Summoner of Besaid, found herself in an awkward position. Very few, she imagined, that had been kidnapped in the past would be eager to have that experience repeated. Yuna, however, began to be alert. There was always the chance she would be taken home.

So, unlike the first time, when the swirling mists arrived that took her from one world to the next, she was prepared. Or, at the very least, she was as prepared as she could be. She had carried her Summoner's Staff with her at all time, so it was firmly in her grasp when she was taken once more. Still, it was surprising. But she was nothing if not determined, and braced herself for the jolt of landing.

When the mists that had taken her cleared a moment later, she looked around eagerly. Within moments, though, she knew that the hope she felt was in vain. This was not Spira. It was obvious in a glance. She sighed, but straightened her shoulders. The first thing was to find out where she was, and then try to find her room, if one had been provided. If not, an inn would do.

Nearby, someone was walking. She bit her lower lip uncertainly, but then shook her head. She had no choice. She needed information, and as shy and polite as she was, she was only going to get it by asking. So she walked over and bowed slightly to the man with the red hair, waiting patiently to be acknowledged. After all, she simply had to know how bad it was. She wasn't on Spira, she wasn't on Mirage... so where was she?

"Spira? Nope. Never heard of it." She was somewhat lucky that Schuldig didn't play video games, at all. That was more Nagi's thing. The politeness amused him, and light blue eyes sparkled in almost-pity. He would never, ever get the whole need to bow and shit.

"You'll find it very, very hard to offend me, love." If there was any offending to be happening, it would almost certainly be him offending her. "You can ask whatever you want." Maybe not always get a straight answer, but that was another matter entirely.

There we go, that delicious confusion. Much better. "Join the club. We've all been magically dropped here, from our own worlds, and times, by a sparkly, benevolent king, who finds it quite fun to watch us all panic and try to get through a Labyrinth." Guy had the right idea, if you asked Schuldig. "And it seems some people have gone through this whole thing before." Which wasn't nearly as fun, in his opinion, since they were somewhat used to it.

"You should have a room, though they aren't anything special." And to think he'd thought Jareth had taste. Tch. "I can take you to the building if you want."

"Oh, I see." Yuna was disappointed that he wasn't from Spira, but not really surprised. She rose from her bow and looked at the attractive redhead with a slight frown on her lips. But it barely showed as anything beyond a neutral expression. Yuna wasn't exactly demonstrative.

"I'm... I'm glad." It did make her feel better to know that he was hard to offend. One of her biggest fears was really hurting someone, especially on an emotional level. She tried out a tentative smile. At least he seemed to know more than she did about where they were.

She listened intently, not one syllable of the explantion being lost on her. "A sparkly king?" She frowned thoughtfully. "I see." Whatever her thoughts were on that, she kept them to herself. Mostly. Except for someone who could hear her thoughts, it probably wasn't as secret. She was thinking that a King would likely be able to be defeated much easier than an entire planet. And already wondering which Aeon to use.

She inclined her head. "A room. Generous." She didn't care much what it looked like. It wasn't likely that she'd be here for long. "Very well... please take me to the building." She paused and then bowed once more, quite deeply this time. "I am Yuna."

"I think your language is very similar, if not exactly the same, as one from another world. I'm not from the place where it's normally spoken either, I've just lived there too long." Part of him would have done anything to visit his hometown again...and part of him really never intended to ever go back. That part of him that was afraid of what he might find was buried very deep. If anyone had asked, he would have told them he'd go back in a heartbeat.

"Good. Just relax a bit, eh?" He couldn't help but laugh softly at her thoughts. "Mr. Sparkly King is a powerful being, Yuna. Don't take him so lightly." He wasn't setting a very good example for this, of course, laughing about him and practically mocking him every time he thought of the King...at yet, with a certain respect. As long as Jareth didn't physically threaten his well being, (further than putting him in scummy motel rooms, that is) they were on something of the same side. It wasn't so much that he thought the Goblin King a laughing matter, so much as the fact that calling him a King was always sarcastic, because in his mind, they were equals.

He gestured, and then lead her to the dorms. "You can go inside there and they'll give you a key with your number on it. If you need help, I think the little goblin dudes can tell you anything else you need to know, and I'm always here."

"I see." This was different from Mirage. No one she'd met in her short time there had known how to speak her language. But her excitement gradually faded as she realized the handsome redhead wasn't from her world. Still, it was more than a little nice to be able to just speak, know she was communicating, and not because some Planet wanted her to be understood.

"Relax?" People had been telling her to do that for years. She knew she probably should, and yet, there was too much to do. When it was all done, perhaps... But her mismatched eyes snapped up, and she gasped slightly. "I didn't... say that out loud..." She was certain of that. And she was a very clever person, really, good at figuring things out.

Her hands firmed on her staff, and she stood ready. In her mind, her Aeons beckoned. But if she was smart, she was also temperate, and she didn't attack people for simply reading her thoughts. But... "How? How did you do that?" The question of her room was put aside for now, since she had been through this all already.
