Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
Entry tags:active, day seven, delirium, schuldig

Who: Delirium and Schuldig
What: Visiting the Haunted House
Where: The fairgrounds, specifically the rides part
When: Day Seven. Late.
Rating: CD for Confusing Del and..I don't know Schuldig, but his average rating?
Status: Incomplete

After arriving to the Underground, and shown to her dormitory by the very nice Doctor Carlisle, Delirium was on the move again. She rarely truly stood still, or stayed still. Even her form, if someone focused on it for too long or too hard, was constantly in motion. Whether it was the hair that bared strong resemblance to lazily waving seaweed or leaves in a breeze, or the fact that she was (upon very intent study) blurry around the edges, like an object just out of focus, Del wasn't terribly still. Quiet sometimes, but not still. Hence the reading of the journals, which she found fascinating, and the want to go out again.

Schuldig. It was an interesting name. And she repeated it to her faithful companion, who quite sensibly said that they should wait to explore for another day. But sensibilities often went unheeded. There they were-- punk-looking teenager with lavared hair mixed with pieces of green and blue, leather jacket over too-big shirt and mesh undershirt, and combat boots walking with a German Shepherd as if she had no care in the world. She was easily distracted, and even more so by the lights and noises of the fair. So it took her a while to actually get to the haunted house. But once she got there, Del knew exactly what it was. Tinny-sounding shrieks and moans were broadcast from the speakers outside, overlapped by cackling and other ghastly noises. It made the girl giggle. "Not what they sound like. Less moan and groan. More growls. More why's and howls." She spoke to Barnabas, or maybe herself, and then looked around. She didn't know what the man looked like. But figured that he'd be where she looked last.

That was precisely why she looked there first. And grinned when she saw whom she believed to be Schuldig. Waving.

So this person was weird and most likely mentally ill. But his best friend was a crazy person, and he wasn't exactly completely sane himself. Besides, considering how he was feeling that night, Schuldig didn't think a little bit of perky weirdness would be a bad thing. He made his way over to the haunted house, already in a bit of a better mood.

And when he saw her, he couldn't help but grin. Ah, a girl after his own heart. Waving, he made his way closer. A quick pop into her head and - ow, that hurt, but he had her name now, at least. And the dog made him happy in a way few people knew. Growing up on a farm, there were always animals arounds, and he had always had a dog. But not so much at Rosenkreuz, or after he'd become an assassin. They moved around too much for it.

Kneeling to the ground, he offered his hand to the German Shepherd before scratching him behind the ears, looking up to the teenager. "I'm assuming the dog is Barnabas, then, and you're Del?" Normal people might have actually asked her name, but, well, he didn't think she would be very concerned about normal.

Delirium tilted her head when she felt something out of the ordinary. "Pathways aren't for everyone. Be full of care whose paths you walk." It was simply said, and almost a chastisement from the youthful looking redhead.

Then, as soon as she had been serious, she was smiles and randomness. Well, she was always randomness. But that was beside the point. "Barnabas is he, and Del is me!" She agreed in Delight. The dog sniffed Schuldig's hand, cautious as animals sometimes were, but then decided that the human didn't mean his charge any harm. And besides, he was getting pet. Which was always nice.

That he didn't particularly ask her name didn't bother Del. In fact, she didn't really think anything of it. "You walk through realms. All realms?"

At the advice, or maybe reprimand, Schuldig simply smiled. "I'm not afraid of pathways. It's more the things that are at the end of them that you have to worry about." Standing up, he nodded his head towards the entrance to the haunted house and led the way.

"Realms? A few. Mostly I walk wherever I want." What she said might not have made sense to many people. It didn't even really make sense to Schuldig. He couldn't have translated it. But he understood. Maybe it was just his complete lack of linear thinking. Maybe it was because even while blocking her jumbled thoughts, he touched her mind.

Honestly, he didn't really care. "So how long have you been here? I don't think I'd have missed you."
