Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
Entry tags:complete, day seven, schuldig, yaten kou

You're a beautiful, a beautiful fucked up man, you're setting up your razor wire shrine.
WHO: Schuldig and OTA
WHAT: How to Avoid Armand and Shoot Things (with extra angst sauce!)
WHEN: Early afternoon of Day 7
WHERE: The amusement park, shooting range
RATING: PG-13 for swearing, and if Schu can keep it there we'll be lucky.
STATUS: Complete

Armand was asleep, and Schuldig had taken the opportunity to sneak away again. The wonderful thing about being in a relationship (and at this point, the word practically made him cringe. He was in a relationship, and he was bound to fuck it up. Again.) with a vampire was, avoiding them was easy. Sneak away during the day, don't come back till dawn. And after their little incident, waking up from a nightmare to a terrified vampire, only to find out he'd been out doing the last thing he'd wanted him to do, all he really cared about was staying as far as possible from the person that was causing him pain.

Pain. Yes, Armand had hurt him. So the question was, how the fuck did he manage to let himself get hurt? He was the one that hurt people. And laughed. And shrugged off other's attempts to get back at him. And laughed more. Why couldn't he do that, with Armand? Why did he care? ...He cared. That in itself was a frightening prospect. Eventually, Armand would tire of him. And then he'd be left. And that was miserable enough. He didn't need to emotional attachments to make it worse. Fuck. Just how deep had he screwed himself this time?

Bundled against the chill, hair caught in the wind, he leant against a tree and nibbled donut holes, sighing. He should not be miserable. He was in an amusement park, somewhere he'd always wanted to go but never had the chance to, and he besides that, he didn't fucking do this. And so, in desperate need of something to vent his anger on, and maybe lighten his mood, his tossed the bag in a bin and wandered over to the shooting gallery he'd caught sight of before. It worked - he was an amazing shot normally, and the challenge of not being able to read the targets' minds was fun. It wouldn't be surprising if he brought attention to himself - he hadn't missed a single target yet.

Yaten had almost made an art of being pissy and miserable, but there was little about this place to bring out anything but that side of him. He didn't like being trapped. He was homesick far more than he'd admit, and everything was reminding him of being back on earth, the last place he'd ever thought he'd miss. This amusement park for instance, kept reminding him of the concert they'd played - the one where idiot Seiya had collapsed. Not the best memories.

Still, there was little to do here except for wander this park. The Labyrinth crouched on the borders, a challenge Yaten wasn't quite ready to take on yet. Let a few more run through, and try it out. Then he'd take it on. For now he chased off aggressive boredom by wandering the park, looking for nothing in particular.

So, it was quite by accident that he passed by the shooting booth, and boredom that made him stop and watch the red-haired man slaughtering the targets.
"Nice shot" he said, with only a hint of sarcasm.

There was a certain pleasure to be brought from shooting things, even if no one died. And for Schuldig, there was also a pleasure from being watched. To say he didn't like an audience would be quite the lie, but it wasn't just that. It was hearing people's thoughts on him.

And it was just that, that let him hear his observer's mind before his words. He smirked, and but didn't look away from his targets. "Yeah, it was." When he finished that round, he finally turned, leaning against the counter to look at Yaten.

Already knowing his name, it wasn't a surprise to Schuldig that he was Japanese, but the sight was strangely comforting. Yuna was the only other he'd met so far, and he'd felt her voice leave a day or two ago. Tilting his head, he smiled slightly, and spoke in Japanese - almost hopefully, though he'd deny it if it ever came up. "Enjoying yourself?" Oh yes, there was sarcasm there too.

Yaten shifted his weight slightly and shrugged. He honestly hadn't considered even trying to enjoy himself here.

"It's hard to enjoy a prison" he said "But there are worse places" He replied in Japanese as well, the very slightest hint of a smile playing around his mouth. He gave the barest sketch of a bow. "Yaten Kou. Pleasure to meet you" The sarcasm was heavy on the last bit
