Caspian had never thought himself much of a leader. He didn't have the self-confidence, he believed, to take up the position and be effective. But, time and again, he was put in the position of authority, and time and again, he rose to the challenge, his yearning to do what was right outweighing his trepidations about his capability.

And so when it fell to him to lead this ragamuffin group through the labyrinth, he prepared for the journey as best as he could. While he was under the impression that every journey through the maze was different, fraught with dangers unlike the ones laid out before, he spoke to those he could about what would befall the group, and took it all into account. There was also the subject of provisions, as the journey could take days, even weeks to complete. That was a harder task to undertake, but from the three packs at his feet, it was fairly clear that Caspian had done all he could to ensure that, at the very least, the group would not starve.

So now, all the young king could do was wait, sitting on a low wall near the entrance, watching the sun rise over the changed city - which he really didn't have the mental capacity to ponder at the moment - and watched for his companions to arrive.

Legolas, upon recieving the offer from Caspian to accompany him, had rushed to invite Giselle along. It had been awhile since he'd seen the pretty redhead, and anyway, he didn't like the idea of going through the Labyrinth without her. Who knew what would happen if he did? He'd been pulled to two new worlds, and didn't want to risk leaving this one without even seeing her.

So, once he recieved her response, he got ready to go quickly. In all honesty, it didn't take him very long. All he needed was some food, water, the clothes on his back, his knives, and his bow. Still, he packed a couple of other things, just in case. He was delighted, when he went to the restaurant in the main building, to find out that they did have the elven waybread, lembas. With just a few of the sweet honeycakes, he could keep going for days.

In was still early when he was ready. The sun was just rising when he made his way to the large, open gate that led into the Labyrinth. He saw that he wasn't the first one there. A dark-haired man that must be Caspian, he figured, and of course, the fiery-headed woman that he knew to be Giselle. Hair that color was unknown on his world, and didn't seem particularly common anywhere else, either.

Approaching openly, he stopped beside Giselle and nodded to Caspian, a greeting between equals. "Hail to you, Prince Caspian." It was his best guess, based on the fact that he knew that was the name of the person he was supposed to be meeting, and the fact that Giselle was standing near him. "Legolas of Mirkwood. May the Valar smile on our meeting." He turned to smile at Giselle, but stopped, slightly taken aback by her outfit. He'd never seen her in anything but a dress. But... this look suited her as well.

"My lady, as beautiful as ever."
