Tonks' eyes glazed over as he explained about TARDIS. It wasn't that she wasn't interested, it was just that she was so completely out of her element, and had no idea what he was talking about. She got like that when Marcus started talking space travel, too.
"Oh. Well, it's really amazing, isn't it?" She glanced around one more time, then wandered over to the console and peering at it intently. She watched with great attention as he made the lights come on, and gasped softly. Sometimes, it was hard for her to believe that some of this stuff from the future wasn't magic, though she'd been told it wasn't.
"Wait, anywhere in the universe? Do you think you could get it fixed? We could all go home..." But a quick spasm of pain crossed her face, and her hand rested on her stomach briefly. If she went home, she'd leave Marcus, and they'd never get to raise their child together. But what other choice was there?
