She and Mercy had gotten away from Snape. It didn't particularly matter to her how it had been done, only that it had. The dark-haired man still creeped her out, mostly because he seemed to know things about her that he should have had no way of knowing. Of course, he could just be insane, but somehow she didn't get that vibe from him. Oh well. She'd just stay the hell away from him, that worked.

"We ditched the stiff, chica." She addressed the comment to Mercy as the two walked away from the gathering where Jareth had given his lame little speech. She still wasn't really cool with the whole thing, to be honest. Mirage had taken her from her home, yeah, but Mirage hadn't had a face. The Underground did, and it was Jareth. It made it easier to hate for some reason, at least to her.

"Look, I'm really not loving this whole thing." She frowned as she spoke. "I mean, I really don't dig being held here like this... I think I should go find that King guy and hand him his ass." She was half joking, but only half. In truth, she did think Jareth needed his ass kicked. "I mean, I saw that dude on Mirage and he wasn't so tough." Not that she'd know. She'd never talked to him, let alone fight him. But the guy had the girliest hair she'd ever seen on a dude. Though she had to admit, he had to have some power if he'd managed to bring all these people here...

Well, she'd deal with that later. For now she stopped walking and turned to the dark-haired, tattooed woman by her side. "Hey, I never really got a look at the tats in the caves... they're pretty rad." She looked the girl over and then shook her head slightly. "Anyway, so what the fuck we gonna do now, princess? I'm not the type to be all quiet in a corner after being snatched, know what I mean?"

It wasn't just Faith that got bad vibes from Snape she did as well, her instincts were hardly ever wrong so she too was going to plan on staying as far away from the guy as she could. Mercy walked with Faith away from the group of people who seemed to be scattering in all directions now. At this point she would have her hands in her pockets but seeing she had none her arms just folded over her body with the small chilly breeze.

"Yeah I'm glad, there is just something not right with that guy and I think it's one of the prime cases I'm going to follow my nose." Mercy laughed, the rocks under her bare feet never really bothered her seeing she had calluses on them from being one with nature more then most people. The situation here seemed to suck a lot more then back on Mirage and oddly enough she missed it.

Mercy shook her head. "Me either, it's just not right you know? How can some Fae just swoop us all up and keep us as his muses for entertainment? I'm with you on wanting to give him a piece of her mind." She spotted something in the dirt and picked it up, looking at the shiny round object it was some sort of coin. "Ok so heads we go find our rooms or tails.." She snickered. "Tails we set off to dethrone the king through that Labyrinth. You know what this sounds like? This movie I watched a long time ago.. maybe it's just a coincidence."

Mercy flipped the coin and looked at it on the back of her hand. "Tails, so are you with me Faith?" She questioned with a smirk, but in her short time of knowing the Slayer she could come to that conclusion on her own, still she had to ask.

Faith grinned at the woman who was rapidly becoming a friend. Weird, to have a female friend. Or a male one, actually. She didn't really do friends, though she was good at making people like her in her own little way. But Mercy, she actually enjoyed being around. It was a novel experience. It felt sort of uncomfortable, actually. But she was starting to think she might like it.

"Oh, I know!" Her opinion of this girl kept going up. "He's just psycho. You know? And he smells weird." He smelled like a spice cupboard, actually, probably from all the weird potions ingredients he used. But it was very distinctive, and she had disliked him on sight, so therefore the smell was unpleasant to her. It didn't have to make more sense than that, negative association.

"Fae?" She tilted her dark head to the side curiously as she looked at Mercy. "Never heard of them. But I bet I can stake him, or just kick his ass." She never worried much about how she would do something, she normally just did it and hoped for the best. It had worked, insofar as she wasn't dead yet. That was good enough for her.

Mercy's way of doing things appealed to Faith. She leaned against a nearby tent that had been set up for the Ren Faire and watched as the woman flipped the coin. "Hell yeah, I'm in." She grinned broadly when it was revealed as tails. "Fae dude is going down, and not in a good way."

Without a second of hesitation, she started toward the entrance of the Labyrinth. It was quite interesting looking, all made of stone, and with little shrubby trees and bushes around. She stopped for a moment and pointed and a little winged figure about six inches tall that was floating by one of the trees. "Holy shit, is that a faerie?" She'd never seen anything like it before, not outside of books.

Mercy was feeling the same way as Faith and she didn't even know it. It was both strange and fun to have a female friend for once who wasn't a total bubble, she remembered the female Werewolf Honey who took guard over her at her garage at Adam's orders, they never seen eye to eye at first but slowly warmed up to each other but Mercy never saw her as someone she could connect with on any level. Faith however seemed to understand her life more then anyone had both being outsiders in someone else's world.

Mercy shook her head. "Maybe one of the other's is a doctor and he can get some help." She snickered hoping to amuse her new pal. Mercy's eyes did fall over Faith's toned naked body but when she realized this she looked elsewhere.

"Yeah Fae, at least that's what he seems like to me it's a magical creature that uses the guise of a human or animal to hide there true form from others and blend in. They are usually extremely powerful and would have to be to run a place like this, so I only assume. I'm sure we can take him out some how." She was with Faith so she might as well have a little while she was at it, she tried to hold in her laughter from the thought.

Once the decision was made Mercy flicked the coin back into the dirt, having no pockets she saw no point in holding on to the thing plus it might come in handy for someone else taking this same path. "All the way to chain town?" She laughed not being able to help it with the jokes.

Mercy walked along with Faith keeping an eye out for anything that might get in the way, she picked up on the sent of magic before the thing entered their path. "Yeah it looks like it to me, I've only read about them too but that's as close as I have ever seen. Maybe if I change and see what it does, might scare it off?"

With that Mercy got down on her hands and knees quickly changing before Faith's eyes into the creature she was on the inside. It was a very painless process turning into the animal and looked a lot like a large mixed breed of husky dog and timber wolf being larger then a regular Coyote. Once transformed she shook out her body that was now covered in fur before slowly walking towards the creature sniffing her snout at it.

At first the thing did nothing but flutter around her head but as soon as it went towards Faith this made Mercy let out a low growl of warning
and was ready to pounce at the thing if needed but thankfully her snarling sent the faerie flying off, besides she didn't really want to kill it if it was doing no real harm but being a huge annoyance.

Once it was gone Mercy padded back over towards Faith walking a circle around her wagging her tail, then she stood up on her hid legs and put a paw on Faith's stomach and licked her hand. The woman smelled so good to her in Coyote from it made her want to lay down and play dead while Faith gave her a good rub down. At this point she was thankful the woman couldn't hear her thoughts for the oddness they brought. She'd never felt like that with anyone other then Adam and Sam.

Faith shrugged, rapidly losing interest in the whole Snape question. It had been nice to stump him, since he had messed with her head so much before. It seemed fair somehow. Sure, she figured she would probably run into the potions master again, but all she had to do was pick up a book and she'd be in a position to know everything about him. Or that's the impression she got from Mercy, anyway, since she'd never ready the books. "No big. He can go angst somewhere else."

Being the Slayer, she listened to what Mercy was saying. She almost couldn't help it. Any help that she could get in hurting whatever big bad was pissing her off currently was certainly not a bad thing. Of course, there'd been a time when she'd just rush in blind, but not anymore. Now, she just rushed in half blind. It made a difference. "So that dude is a Fae?" She snorted softly. "Maybe I'll paint his fingernails a color that doesn't match his outfit, and that will piss him off."

She watched with a raised eyebrow as her new friend turned into an animal... it sort of looked like a medium sized dog, only not quite. She hadn't exactly had a ton of experience with coyotes. She spared a glance up to see if the moon was full, but she couldn't find it. At first, she tensed up, ready to defend herself. Werewolves were nasty, at least in their animal form.

But nothing happened, or at least, nothing bad. Even Faith would have had a hard time hurting the pretty little faerie, but it left without a fight. She leaned down so her head was on the same level as the coyote's snout. "Hey, you did this once before, right? In the snowball fight on Mirage. So you're, what, some sort of werewolf?"

She reached out and patted the furry creature who was her friend on the head, then rose to her feet. "Well, let's go kick some labyrinth ass, yeah? Cool." She was happy either way, either with Mercy as a coyote or as a person. It made things interesting. She headed toward the open gate of the labyrinth, her toned body tense and ready for anything.

Once rubbed by Faith Mercy felt very good, it was something she couldn't really explain in terms of being human, not really having anything else to compare it too other then being a very pleasant feeling. Her tail wagged and her head made a jerking shaking motion to show Faith that she understood her question and no she wasn't a werewolf. While they were face to face the temptation was too great and she licked her canine tongue against the other's cheek then walked away.

Now that the current danger was gone Mercy sniffed her way down the dirt path between the two large brick walls, she felt like she was in one of the fantasy books she had read or something from folklore. As interesting as it was it was hitting her more and more that this place seemed totally real.

Nearing the end of the path there was a huge arching stone entrance way that appeared to have no way in, she figured there had to be some sort of trick to this. Cautiously she padded closer to the blocked entrance way and before she had a chance to sniff the wall and seemingly out of nowhere a nose and a set of eyes, a nose and a mouth grew out of the stone which then started talking, which startled her in her Coyote forum making her snarl at the thing as it spoke.

"Pass here you might walk right on by me, but only if you have the key. Answer my riddle correctly and humor me..A woman shoots her husband. Then she holds him under water for over 5 minutes. Finally, she hangs him. But 5 minutes later they both go out together and enjoy a wonderful dinner together. How can this be? Answer me this and I shall grant you the way to the inside of the Labyrinth if you so foolishly wish to venture within the walls. You have two guesses!"

Mercy was laughing on the inside it was rather comical to see this magical head pop out of nowhere and started talking to them. She felt she needed to be in human form to better get a grip of herself on this one besides Faith couldn't read her mind. She took a few minutes to change back into her human self again then looked at Faith. “Mm have any ideas?” She questioned wanting to give the other woman the first guess.

Faith raised an eyebrow and refused to look freaked out as the face appeared and started talking. Every single muscle in her body had tensed up, however, and she had been ready to fight. It clearly wasn't needed, which left her feeling a little out of her element. As long as there were people to fight, she was fine. But once that stopped, she felt more than a little out of place.

However... her first Watcher had had a bit of a thing for riddles. It was pretty much the only thing about him that had been any fun. He'd told this one once, and she'd been stumped for hours trying to figure it out. Once the answer was given, it was so obvious, but until then... she flashed Mercy a smirk and a half shrug.

"I think I'm about to ruin my badass rep here... the wife is a photographer. She shoots her husband with a camera, puts him in that developing solution water stuff, and then hangs the picture up to dry." She watched as the face returned back into the stone. Apparently she'd gotten it right on the first try.

"Man, if the Labyrinth is all going to be this easy, we'll seriously go through this thing like a cakewalk." She grinned at the other woman. "So let's go!" Where the odd head had been was now a set of wide gates, and she headed toward them. As she stepped into the long stone corridor that seemed to stretch for as far as the eye could see, a chill came over her.

Normally, she had no patience for that sort of thing. In fact, she tended to not even be all that perceptive of it. But there was something truly creepy about this place, and this was coming from a girl that killed vampires for a living. She huddled closer to the dark-haired woman, and almost jumped as the big gates shut behind them.

Mercy watched the expression of thought on the Slayers face and laughed as the answer hit her as well, it was a rather comical start to a trip of unknown proportions. She shook her head laughed, watching as the face vanished and the huge gate doors slowly pulled open for them to enter. “Nice one, I'll have to remember that for Sam when I get back, he'll love it..I mean if I get back.” She pushed aside the thoughts of home and followed Faith as her bare swaying bottom lead the way. “Yeah, I think the Goblin Princess needs to do better then that or we'll be at his door in like five.”

She was also rattled as the gates made a bang that echoed through the strange land. Her own nerves made her hurl her arms around the other woman protectively, her lip curled as she let out a snarl. “Shit, way to give a girl a heart attack, that's a little cheep if you ask me.” She chuckled humor was always her way to lighten a situation. Now their surroundings were stone walls that reminded her of of a knock of version of Tetris, the way the rocks in the walls were lapped together with poor man's masonry skills.

“Ya know I feel like Pac Man is going to suddenly creep up and bite me on the ass.” She laughed as the walked onward in the over achiever's maze. Suddenly Mercy stopped dead in her tracks, there were times she felt her words were haunting here and this was one of them. She spoke low to the other woman. “Did you hear that?” She questioned perking up her now human ears that still granted her a little super hearing. Now she was sniffing the air and there was a distinct familiar sent she wished so hard she wasn't picking up on right now. “Shit, I think we have company..of the furry kind and I'm not talking easter bunny this time.”

“Werewolf..” She whispered loud enough for Faith to hear. Mercy turned around slowly and insightfully her upper lip curled in a growl, letting her dark eyes drop on the very beast she thought was fallowing them. She could hear him breathing, as well as the thumping of his chest, she even swore she heard the rumbling of the monster's stomach, as he salivated over both women. The Werewolf was a little larger then she was accustom to and guessed on his hind legs he would be close to seven feet tall, the wolf's fur was a mix of deep brown, Auburn and Yellow.

The beast had a few distinguishing marks looking like brands of the tribal nature but nothing she remotely recognized. The snarl of the beast along with his cold yellow eyes, sharp claws that were digging into the dirt stone ground sharping themselves, and pointy teeth were enough to make the hair on the back of her neck stand to attention. But honestly if he wasn't about to eat her as well as her Slayer friend, he would be on the handsome side. Oh how she wished Adam was here right about now, the Alpha would take care of this baddie in a flash and that would be it.

She thought of a plan of attack fast, the two Werewolves combined she had killed while in Coyote form were equal to this guy but she figured with Faith's help it could be a lot less bloody. “Think you can get his attention while I change and go for the juggler?” She questioned not trying to make any sudden movements. “Ok. I don't know what you know about em but if you attack him those wounds are the ones that heal first, so I'll try to get a good clamp on his neck which in theory should take him out... There has to be something here you can use to stab him with, those rocks look mighty fine to me.” Mercy pointed to the pile of jagged rocks near Faith's feet. "Cool?"

Faith found the description very, very amusing. "Heh, Princess. Like Bowie if Bowie were like the gayest gay that ever gayed." She wrinkled up her nose. As already discused, both she and Mercy were Bowie fans. It didn't seem fair that this loser was coming along, looking like him only sort of... well, to be honest, Faith might find him good looking under normal circumstances. She didn't normally go for the insane glam rock thing, but he had an energy about him. But he had also almost kidnapped her.

She huddled close as the gates slammed shit, a little shocked by the whole thing. And, somehow, she found herself holding the other woman. Not that it was unpleasant. She just wasn't normally all into the touching naked women thing. But it worked, somehow, maybe since they were both freaked by the whole slamming gate thing.

After a couple of moments, however, she released her grip on Mercy and looked left, and then right. She frowned. "Shit, this is pretty much the most retarded maze thing ever. Hey, genius, it's supposed to have openings and shit! Fucker can't even make a good labyrinth." She sighed and started walking down, picking left at random and just heading that way.

However, she froze as Mercy spoke. Faith had been having a very odd sort of feeling since coming into the labyrinth, like something was stalking them. The other woman seemed to have some pretty sweet super powers as far as smelling went, she guessed that it went along with the shapeshifting thing. But her odd feeling made sense. Oddly enough, it didn't even occur to her to question Mercy's senses. If the other woman said it was a werewolf, it was.

So, because of the warning, she wasn't completely caught off guard by the sight of the thing. But God, it was enormous! She'd seen a werewolf or two in her day, but this was something else. Her eyes widened momentarily as she looked up at it, but she was never off guard, thanks to Mercy's warning. It was a little different than anything she'd faced before, but she never let that stop her.

"Yeah, let's do it." She liked the plan. And since she was naked and not armed with a sword or even a stake, she wasn't as willing to just charge in as usual. Of course, if she'd been alone, she would have no choice on the matter. But she wasn't. It made a difference. She bend down and picked up a sharp, jagged shard of rock. "Time to give ugly here some exercise better than a walk!" She charged at the werewolf, rock raised, speaking loudly to get the things attention.

Trust was something Mercy never did very easily, it was one of the things she learned during her time on the reserve in Bran's pack of Werewolves, so she was always on guard whither she wanted to be or not. Now however things were a little different and in a very short time she had grown to trust the slayer and right now she was trusting Faith with her tail, and the rest of her life.

Mercy saw no reason that the woman had been lying of her adventures as a Vampire slayer, and honestly she could smell lies from a mile away and in the present situation she was very grateful for her new friend being by her side.

She watched out of the corner of her eye as Faith stealthy picked up the sharp rock and called the beasts attention, this was her que to round around the back of the Werewolf so she could transform. The Labyrinth was looking to be a damn good work out if the size of this fiend was any measure for what could possibly lay ahead.

Mercy quickly shifted, her inner Coyote was already filled with rage and a thirst to protect, this was strange seeing normally her Coyote was a very pup like creature. She had to hold back her growling to bring about the element of surprise. Her yellow eyes were locked on her target inching on him, also watching for The Slayer to make her first move hopefully delivering a nasty blow.

One of her paws stepped on some rubble which made a nose shifting the Werewolves attention back to her, instinctively Mercy let out a primal growl and jumped into the air towards the beast latching her fangs into the Werewolves neck and pushing him against the wall. Her bite was strong locking her jaws in his flesh, blood splattered and stained her white/gray coat.

The Werewolf was trying to shake her off but she was able to stand her ground, her bite was defiantly worse then her bark. Killing wasn't something she liked doing but sometimes she has no choice, she was determined to bring this sucker down.

She had fought alongside strangers before. This wasn't so different. But she had to admit, she liked Mercy a hell of a lot more than she did most people. She and Buffy hadn't started off on the right foot at all, and Faith had still never really warmed up to the blonde Slayer. But Mercy, it was odd, it seemed that the two women had just clicked. Very, very unusual for her.

Hefting the heavy rock in her hand, but having no problem with it's considerable weight, she stalked toward the werewolf. "Hey, big boy, let's dance." She smiled, already the thrill of the fight was coursing through her veins. As always, there was no doubt in her mind what would happen. She and Mercy would fight, and win, and the werewolf would lose and be dead. It was just a matter of time.

The lupine creature swatted at her, but that was fine. Faith had no issue darting out of the way, and then she was close enough to strike. And she'd done her part of the job already, she noted, as a coyote came from behind the large creature and fastened to the things neck. Yes, they were going to win. She smiled and threw the shard of stone with all her strength. It slammed home into the heart of the werewolf. Of course, the thing would heal that damage, but with Mercy biting as well, it would soon all be over.

Not without wounds, though. A lucky swipe of the beasts claws got her on her shoulder, and she snarled at it. She hated it when the things that she was supposed to hurt, hurt her instead. But it wasn't major, and soon enough the thing slumped to the ground, dead. Faith looked down at her shoulder, decided she would live, and ignored it. It was bleeding a bit, but nothing too badly.

She glanced around, and still didn't see anything that even remotely resembled an entrance or opening. She sighed and shook her head. "Fuck, this sucks. I can kill wolves or whatever until the cows come home, but it isn't going to do us much good if we can't get out of this damn hallway."

As a human she had no really lust for fighting unless it was in her kick boxing classes and her interest in that was mostly breed from being a single mildly good looking female who wanted to defense herself from creeps. It did however do the trick and keep her ass at a reasonable size. In her Coyote form however there was always the instinct to hunt and kill especially when danger was involved. She could feel the Werewolf giving in to it's wounds as she fixed her sharp fangs into the side of the creatures neck, the taste of mercury from the blood seeping into her mouth.

Adrenaline pulsed through her canine veins she wasn't satisfied until the beast was still, she could hear the noise as Faith did her part as well to hack up the mongrel that wanted to turn them into lunch, this wasn't his day at all. The hug beast finally slumped down to the ground but wasn't without one last effort to knock Mercy off of him which he succeeded in doing, she was thrust to the ground letting out a whimper as she rolled on the dirty stone floor.

Hearing a crunching sound she knew Faith had finished the job and the beast was dead. She was hurting but slowly got up and walked over to the Slayer noticing the thrill of the fight fresh on the other woman's face, she also noticed a small cut on Faith's leg which she gave a little lick to cleaning it off. Mercy then licked her fur clean then changed back into her human self. “Nice work, did he get you any?” Her breath was shaky and sweat dripped from her body, she had a few scrapes here and there but over all she was fine.

"What an bad dog, so I wounder what we are going to be facing next a rabid easter bunny?" She laughed and leaned up against the wall at which point a few of the stone slabs caved in. "Hey look!" She yelped excited. "Look at this, help me would ya?" Mercy put her hands against the wall and started to push as she did the wall moved and gave way to an entrance which lead to another part of the maze. "Sweet." Mercy stood back. "After you m'dear" She grinned.

When the creature fell down dead, Faith was almost disappointed. Of course, she was also aware that it would have been very bad if the thing had survived much longer. Werewolves were nasty, and she wasn't really used to fighting them. It probably could have done a lot of damage to her if it had survived, so it was a good thing. But it would have been nice to have more of a fight.

Her wounds weren't much by the end. She was capable of tending to them by herself, just from the habit of long practice. But she felt a slightly rough tongue on her leg, and smiled down at the coyote. "Not bad, chica." She had to approve. The woman/coyote had kicked a lot of ass, and as far as Faith was concerned, that wasn't a bad thing. She patted her friend on the head, and then moved to the rest of her wounds.

It was mostly just the scrape on her leg, and a slightly twisted shoulder. She shrugged it back into place, barely wincing, and then smirked slightly at Mercy. "Nah, I'm five by five, girl. Ready to rock again anytime." She hesitated for a moment. "You kicked all sorts of ass." It wasn't a compliment that came easily to her, but she gave it anyway, along with another smile.

"Holy shit!" She grinned as part of the wall caved in. "Now that's more like it!" With new energy, she attacked the wall, and the two women soon had a path cleared. Now, they had broken into an area that was much more complex, rather than the long stone corridor they had been in before. She glanced around, and then shrugged.

"No fucking clue. You any good at this shit?"
