Character #2!
Morning everyone, it's Amy here intro-ing my second character, Gunnery Sergeant Torin Kerr, from the Confederation of Valor series by Tanya Huff. No, I'm not really expecting anyone to know it, so I'll give a rough background as to where she's coming from.

She's from decently far in Earth's future - humanity is part of a galactic Confederation made up of countless alien species, most of whom are extreme pacifist. Humans (and the Tayken and Krai) were recruited because they aren't pacifists and are willing/able to fight the Others who threaten Confederation space. Torin's used to the comforts of technology she's going to miss including FTL travel, energy weaponry, implanted computers, and spreadable broccoli. Okay, maybe she won't miss that last one.

Oh, and a note for mind-reading characters - She's been through many, many rather nasty battles, so poking through her mind is bound to turn up imagery she doesn't want to remember.

So yea, plots and fun stuffs ahoy! I'll be bringing her in next day change.
