Colton West (1:52:18 AM): He sat on the edge of his bunk and unlaced his boots, "I don't know... not a whole lot to tell, really. I mean after C-Day we've all kind of got the same story, ya know?"
Rosie Shayl (1:56:25 AM): "No," she answered flatly. "I don't think we got the same story at all. For example, I have a serious feeling that after tonight our story's gonna differ quite a bit." She rolled over in her bunk, clearly agitated. "Will you come and visit me in the brig? Cause I don't think you will."
Colton West (2:00:02 AM): He stopped unlacing his boots and immediately began relacing them before tying them off. He stood up and walked to the barracks door. He opened it, but never looked back. "I don't know if I'll visit you, Rose. But I do know that after this is all over, I'll fight to get you back behind the stick." He paused, and let his words linger in the air. "After detox."
He walked out, pulling the door closed behind him.
Rosie Shayl (2:06:30 AM): A few moments passed, and her guts lurched. She nearly heaved again into the drain that sat in the corner of the room. No. They couldn't take his word over hers, it wasn't possible. She only knew that she had to get rid of the box before she got called to court martial. If there were any gods at all they'd keep her flying. There was no place for her among the civilian fleet.
