Cole slipped into the barracks without a word. He sagged, obviously weary. After running drills, sims and then CAP duty, it felt as though he hadn't slept in nearly a week. He tore off his jock smock and let it lay there on the floor by the bunk. He collapsed onto his bunk before taking a moment to glance around.
He noticed the privacy curtain was pulled on Rose's bunk. It didn't surprise him. She'd taken the sims pretty badly, and he'd very nearly went to the CAG to discuss how badly she'd reacted. Only her sad little eyes had stopped him and as dangerous as he knew that was, he still never could stand to break a heart.
He offered a sad smile at the privacy curtain and the lady behind it. After a moment he stood, and walked over. "Hey Rose," he said as he reached up and drew the curtain back.
