Nar Shaddaa had taught her that anything had a price, and anything could be found. Yet, ironically a Lightsaber crystal had never been something that would be easily found. Not because of their rarity, but because of their ties to the Jedi. Te larger syndicates like Black Sun had often whispered that with the right price, the right sort of privacy they could acquire the crystals, only because they were willing to risk the Jedi's suspicions. The Sun could withstand a Jedi's investigation, and the elimination of one of it's cells. She'd learned that one well enough.
So when she'd heard that the possibility might exist, despite the crystals not being native to this galaxy, she'd become worried. A crystal like that, in this place could cause problems. And while she wasn't Jedi in any matter that counted, save serving the Light, she was still enough of one to be willing to risks the journey and pay whatever anyone might have to purchase the crystals if she found them.
They were the most sacred thing the Jedi had, and she wouldn't want them in any wrong hands.
So she walked through the black market with purpose, blending in and standing out. A woman in tan pants and a tan shirt was odd, but she walked with the confidence of one who was used to such markets, and the weapons on her belt proved she could take care of herself. Her 'sabers were on one end, while her blaster was on the other. One of her hands rested on the blaster. Few bothered her, and those that did were convinced to let her be with quiet words.
She had no objections about using the Force to her advantage in situations like these. It proved a benefit in avoiding confrontations, and keeping her alert to any possible dangers.
T3 also aided, and her other hand rested on his head. "Keep an eye out." She said gently and her friend beeped an affirmative. In a way, it was a good distraction. Meetra was one to keep whatever thoughts and feelings to herself, a remnant of her Jedi upbringing and an honest desire to let no other be burdened with those things. That wasn't to say the words thrown at her hadn't had an effect. They had. But, she'd heard worse. Te Taylir had sat across from her many a time, giving her harsh words and harsh truths to get a rise out of her. She'd soon learned that was the purpose, and offering quiet, calm words often made him stop trying, or start an honest conversation. And she'd said much worse to herself and believed them. She'd earned ire and anger and hate.
She gave a sigh and pushed out with the Force, letting it reach out. If any crystals were present, they'd resonate. The side effect was she felt these people and their emotions, which she always felt as rude. And yet, it was a comfort too. After all those years of quiet, it was nice to have the noise back. It gave her another distraction as well. All this life drowned out her own head.
T3, familiar with her moods and how she worked, drew closer and she smiled at him. Never let it be said her little friend didn't know how to comfort. Out of thanks she paused near one of the stalls and gave the proprietor a simple 'let me look' glance and looked over the wares, holding a small plate to T3. "How about this for an upgrade?" T3 beeped in affirmative, and she heard his gratefulness in it. A kindness for a kindness. Smiling she purchased it and continued on.
