The newly minted archangel had been feeling a little off his game since Harry had announced to his two soldier friends that angels were dangerous and terrifying. He was right, of course, and Castiel couldn't fault him for being honest with the two human children who were clearly in desperate need of some sort of guidance in such a strange place. But still, it didn't negate the fact that it had the angel thinking. About the things he'd done. About the things he would do. It was a slippery slope. He'd spoken with Dean. That hadn't helped much, it'd only confused matters more. But Jason? Well, Jason was Dean's friend and he and Dean's look-alike had shared words before, they'd seen one another before, but they'd never really sat down and spoken. It was about time, and Jason seemed like he could use the company as much as Cas could. So, Cas had made a stop by Hawke's place and had spoken to her for a while before taking the large Irish Wolfhound with him when he left. He thought Deanna (the dog, of course) would like the trip out. And it would be there at the small restaurant, at one of the outside tables (it was a nice night, after all), that Castiel would be sitting, the large dog laying up against his chair, her head on his feet. Both of them calmly waiting for Jason, menus already on the table. |
