No problem!
Rose rolled her eyes and huffed a little sigh of exasperation; she knew he was only agreeing to appease her, but there wasn't much she could do about that. "Anyway, this is hardly the worst I've ever had." It was flippant, a well-worn phrase used by Torchwood agents for anything from papercuts to stays in the ICU, and it was out of her mouth before she realized that it was more likely to disconcert the Doctor than to reassure.
She beamed and couldn't contain a little giggle. She couldn't help it; it felt so rare to be the one to surprise or knock him off-kilter, and there he was gaping like a fish. It was a look that she filed away for the days when that face would be a universe away, next to all the other glimpses she had collected over time.
Rose felt her cheeks warm and she was pretty sure she was blushing like a schoolgirl. She hadn't expected quite such a stunning declaration, or really any declaration. Maybe a roundabout acknowledgment of his own feelings now that he didn't have the network to hide behind, if she were lucky, but apparently the past thousand years had wrought more emotional growth than expected.
She couldn't do anything beyond staring up at him in wonder. She must've saved the universe repeatedly in a past life because there was no way that she'd done enough to deserve such a place in his hearts in this one. She wanted to take his hand and promise him a forever. She wanted to kiss him: no Time Vortex, no psychografts, no impossible choices; just the Doctor and Rose Tyler, on the same page. She wanted to take up his offer of home in that big blue box. She wanted so much, but what did she have to offer him in return?
It took her a moment to find her voice and when she did, it was thick with emotion. "I do, yeah. I'd wondered over the years, but that was just me bein' lonely and stupid. I mean, if a Dalek could see it, why couldn't I?" She moved close enough to smooth her hands over the lapels of his coat, ignoring her ribs' protest and resisting the urge to pull him down so she could press her lips to his. She laughed a little sheepishly, ducking her head. "I really want to kiss you, but I don't know if that's gonna do more harm than good to you in the end."
