Your character will arrive in the city of Tokyo. All of the rifts and holes of time and space are located over this city. They will arrive at random locations of the player’s choosing.
Living Arrangements:
The people know that you are stranded there in their world. Once they meet with a citizen, they will be directed to where they need to go. (You can auto this or elaborate if you like.) The society has built the Shimizu-Mega City Pyramid. This is the location that your characters will be located. Space is vital and limited, but rooms can and will be manipulated to support those living together. Jobs are open and need filling as many died in the accident.
Injury/Death:
If you are injured, ill, or sick, healthcare is still advanced and free. (Think 21st century accompanied by healing magic.) In this society, they value life and tend away from violence. Therefore, military is sparse and unnecessary. If your characters are troublesome, then there will only be other characters to stop them.
Death is a tricky thing. With the puncturing of time and space, aging has been slowed to almost a crawl. Where the body will reach maturity at a seemingly normal rate, someone that is full grown will seem to stop aging. Those killed in battle can either die permanently or use one other available method. Where most of the futuristic technology is gone, some still remains. One means to bring a person to life does exist, but with a heavy price. To use this method, the person has to be resurrected within the first hour of death. The price to be paid lies with the person that wishes to revive them. They must donate blood and other tissue in order for the process to work. Doing this will permanently connect the characters together. They will share emotions and some thoughts; in the case of serious injury, they will also share physical pain. And this will only work one time.
Setting:
The setting is a metropolis with some parks and nature that is preserved. Much of Africa has turned into a desert, and good portions of the northern hemisphere have frozen over. There are few major cities now after the disaster, and the weather seems to have taken on a strange erratic pattern.
Magic/Powers:
All the canon powers stay in tact. If you have a rare situation, such as Seishirou has with the Sakura Barrow, you are allowed to make up a way to deal with it. But please, clear it with the moderator first. Also, those with dimensional magic cannot use it. Because the rips are like vacuums, there is no way out. Once you are there, you can’t get out.
