Who: Cosette Myriel, Sirius Black What: Cosette tries to get some reading done When: October 1977 Where: Courtyard
It was a nice enough day, but as it was mid-October, the cool weather would start settling in soon. With this knowledge in mind, Cosette took an opportunity to spend some time outside reading. When reading outside, she usually either read by the lake or in the courtyard and today she selected one of the benches in the courtyard and sat down.
She turned to the page she had last left off on in her book, it was by a French muggle author. Her father had always loved French literature and she acquired a taste for it as well as British and even wizarding literature. In reality, Cosette just liked reading in general. She liked to read or observe people. She was too shy to participate, so observing seemed to be the better option. Her eyes read over the words in the book, though her mind went somewhere else, somewhere completely different.
Cosette had had a crush on Sirius Black since first year. Since he was sorted, as a matter-of-fact. She remembered the first time she'd seen him and she remembered thinking that he was absolutely the most beautiful eleven-year-old boy she had ever seen. Now at seventeen, things hadn't changed much. He grew more handsome, but the problem was he knew it and so did the other girls. Every girl at Hogwarts seemed to want to be with him and most probably had. While she had a crush on him, Cosette knew better than to go there. She didn't want her heartbroken, after all and that seemed to be all he knew how to do.
