[The cold, snowy days continue, and things have been peaceful enough. Then, a sound like glass shattering... It starts. Little light shards, that sparkle around people briefly before being absorbed into their eyes. Throughout the day, it spreads out, catching new victims here and there. For a while, it's like a mirror reflecting their worst selves is at work, bringing out the most petty, irritable, unreasonable sides of people. Or is it that they're seeing others in this same light? Or both?

Every minor annoyance one might ever had won't seem so minor anymore. Little forgotten arguments, those irritating habits of others, any mistake from the past, it's all coming back now. How did you ever get past these things? It's time to bring them back up, to throw them in people's faces, to demand some compensation for them. And if they're confused, if they're denying being so irritating and obnoxious, or having lied to you once, or saying it's not such a big deal? Well, it feels like a great time to start a fight.

From louder vocal arguments to full-on battles if provoked enough, common sense and understanding seem to have no room to exist today. So what if you want to duel someone because they leave their clothes on the floor? Or if you want to take over all the houses because it's unfair others have more space than you? You've suddenly realized it's best to end a friendship of years because they lightly teased you once? More power to you.

Of course, the shards won't be there forever, and once they've disappeared, so will their effect on people... Surely you can patch things up with everyone, right? As long as they don't get the shards next...]

[Oh no, not glaring. How will Sebastian ever survive. His tone is soft, respectful, even when his words are far more direct than usual:]

With all due respect, Sire... whilst you are royalty and thus deserving of every respect, I do not owe you that kind of information. [Mostly because no one needs to know about Sebastian's exhibitions into the heart of the monster-infested forest. Or how he's been diving to the bottom of the sea to look for an exit.]

What orders my master has issued to me is for him to disclose at this own discretion. Rest assured that my attempts have been thorough.

Yes, well. Yours is the exact same situation as anyone else who finds themselves here without their loved ones. One could make a case it is the same thing for those with friends and family here - who here can properly protect anyone else from the whims of this seemingly omnipotent world, after all?

And yet, most people learn after their first few days that tantrums are quite useless.

And what does sitting around do? I'm the only one here with actual experience traveling worlds! I know the rules, I've mastered the ability! So when I'm faced with - with - something that defies everything I've been taught, I'm allowed to get A LITTLE MAD!

[With that, he leaps off the roof, landing in front of Sebastian, eyes blazing.]

And if all you wanna do is yap, yap, yap about how much better you are because nothing gets to you, then GET LOST! I don't need your attitude, and I don't need you!

You are not the only one, Mr Mouse. Once again, assumptions are unbecoming.

[He's not referring to himself, really (although from a certain point of view one could certainly say Sebastian travels worlds on a regular basis, being originally from the demon realm...). He's thinking of young Mr Li.

Once again completely indifferent to the anger directed at him, Sebastian bends down slightly with his hands neatly folded behind his back, as if to be closer to Mickey's level. Gracious, but how very much shorter Mickey is.]

As far as your opinions and needs of me are concerned, I do not care. Please take your anger elsewhere, however. Thee are plenty of desolate islands around - I should think they will better fit your mood.

[Sebastian doesn't need further prompting: in a second he's reached out to yank the Keyblade from Mickey with one hand, and grabbed Mickey by the collar of his shirt with the other, lifting both him and the Keyblade up. [And of course Mickey is going to protest. Little he may be, but he has been training for decades, and not just anyone can become a Master. Which is evident as the blade vanishes from Sebastian's hands and reappears in Mickey's.]

You really think I'm scared? I've faced way worse than you! I am a Keyblade Master, I can do anything, and I CAN DEFEAT ANYONE!

[He then swings the Keyblade, intending to literally go for the jugular - but. the keyblade appears to have other ideas. as it suddenly flickers out of his hands.

It's brief. Very brief. Mickey freezes in place, and they Keyblade is whole and still again, like nothing happened. But it most certainly did happen, and judging from the horrified look in the mouse's wide eyes, it absolutely should never have happened.]

Wh... what...?

[If anything, Sebastian looks more surprised about the Keyblade disappearing from his grip than the subsequent going-for-the-kill attack. He makes a move as to angle away from the blade, but pauses as Mickey aborts the swing. Is something the matter?]

Oh, I would not recommend trying that with such little room to move - you will not accumulate enough force.

[Mickey doesn't appear to hear Sebastian at all. His eyes stay on the Keyblade, remembering when he last heard of this happening -

When Sora's heart was weak, when it wavered, when it left because he didn't believe in what he was doing - but this is different! It's completely different! Mickey's heart isn't dark - it's strong - it's - ]

No - I'm not - I didn't mean -

[He keeps sputtering and stammering. Who is he trying to convince? Sebastian? The Keyblade? Himself? It becomes too much to bare. He kicks the butler hard in the chest, back-flipping to get some space between them. But the fight doesn't resume - instead, he turns tail and runs.]

	[Oh, very well. Sebastian lets go of him - with no more than a surprised "uff" at the kick in his chest - and doesn't pursue as Mickey runs off. This accomplishes what Sebastian wanted: to get the nuisance off the roof, so there's absolutely no reason to follow. Sebastian takes a moment to fix his clothes - Mickey wrinkled his shirt - before continuing with his day.] (Reply to this) (Parent)
