Anton...um...was just a throwaway line to explain the Horseman's interest in Ichabod, however... Anton was a young Frenchman (who, of course, has to look a great deal like Ichabod) that the Horseman knew when he was alive. Anton was part of the military; the Horseman was one of the mercenaries hired to fight at their side. And now that you've poked my brain with that stick, I'm thinking how much I'd like to go do the necessary research (what military? what battle? where?) and write that one...
