Have some commentfic - the scene things would cut to if this were a film.
When Cloud came back downstairs moments after heading up to go to bed, Tifa knew there was something up. She'd had her suspicions when she'd looked around a few minutes back and couldn't see a couple of people, but hadn't said anything. The blush which was still lingering on Cloud's face informed her that her suspicions were correct.
"Yuffie and Vincent, right?" she said to Cloud, who looked at her in startled amazement. "Oh come on! Don't tell me you haven't noticed she's had a massive crush on him any time these past three years?" The look of blank bewilderment on Cloud's face was enough to answer that question. Gesturing to one of her back-up staff, she dragged Cloud off to the cellar - the one place in Seventh Heaven where there'd be enough privacy to complete the conversation without visibly embarassing him.
Once she got him there, and perched the two of them on a couple of kegs, she started to explain. "Yuffie has been interested in Vincent ever since she first met him, but he's never given any sign of being interested in her."
"I know that much," Cloud said, sounding just a little exasperated.
"Well, tonight she's obviously decided what he needed wasn't time to notice her, but an explanation of what he was supposed to be noticing." Tifa shrugged. "It happens sometimes."
"But... Vincent?" Cloud sounded confused. "I mean, he's so much older than her."
"Sometimes girls like that. Besides, I don't know whether you've noticed, but Vincent hasn't aged in thirty-three years. So physically he's still the same guy he was when he died."
"And?"
"And that guy is hot!" Tifa blushed a little.
"Well, yeah, I'd noticed that," Cloud said, blushing as well. Tifa grinned. Cloud might well be her partner at present, but that didn't make him blind to a good-looking man.
"Yuffie's still effectively the princess of WuTai - as she sees it, she's entitled to the best," Tifa grinned. "Besides, she'll be good for him. He needs to laugh a bit more."
Cloud cocked his head, sorting through the noises he could hear, then grinned. "Well, she's managed that." Then a thought occurred. "You're not going to like what they did to the wallpaper," he said.
"Well," the blond man blushed as he recalled the scene. "Yuffie was the one against the wall."
Tifa thought for a moment, trying to picture things, then nodded. "Tell Vincent I forgive him this time, but next time, he's the one who's going to be replacing the wallpaper. For the whole hall." She thought for a moment longer. "And make sure Yuffie's not in earshot when you tell him, too."
