                At first he’d been worried about Yuuri and Conrart’s relationship because they’d gotten along so well. He’d heard Conrart mentioning Yuuri to their mother several times over the years since he’d gotten back from Yuuri’s Earth. Then, when Yuuri had shown up, he and Conrart had immediately hit it off, getting up early to play their ‘baseball,’ always talking about some red socks or other; he still didn’t see how a pair of socks could play baseball so he’d ignored that explanation.

                Yuuri was always asking for Conrart’s advice first, even before his own and Gwendal’s. He was always trying to keep close to Conrart and Conrart was always right next to him. That, along with how well he and Conrart got along, had bothered him until he’d finally accepted that Yuuri saw Conrart as a godfather, not a lover, and Conrart saw Yuuri as a godson, not a replacement brother.

                Somehow while figuring that all out, he and Yuuri had finally fallen in love. Gunter had been surprisingly upset about the matter, but then it had involved Yozak making off with the two of them without warning anybody. Now that Wolfram thought about it, right then was probably when he had finally gotten it sorted in his head that Conrart wasn’t stealing Yuuri and Yuuri wasn’t stealing Conrart.

In a way he figured out that he stood between them figuratively and physically. He wasn’t about to let anybody else get closer to Yuuri than he did, aside from Gisela, for any reason. Besides, he would always be between the two as ‘My husband’s brother Conrart’ and ‘My brother’s husband Yuuri’ before and godfather/son or protector/protected relationships came in. It made him kind of sad to realize that, but in the end that was the way things were, all three of them were growing up, or older, and so their relationships changed.
