Title: Happily Ever After
Author/Artist: purkledragon

Summary: Every story eventually has a happy ending, right?
A/N: July 18: Weiss Kreuz - Schuldig/Nagi - bedtime stories - "You're too old for this."
When Nagi was younger and still new to Schwarz, Schuldig had taken upon himself to educate the boy on the finer points of German literature starting with the Brothers Grimm. The things that happened in the stories were nothing compared to what the boy had been though, or would go through eventually. Crawford saw nothing wrong with it; it kept Schuldig mostly distracted, and was one way of teaching Nagi the language. None of it ever cause any problems, no nightmares or terrors; there were far worse things in their world than anything Jacob and Wilhelm had ever dreamed of writing about. Far, far worse things...
Now, Schuldig complains that he's getting too old for this. Nagi is getting too old that is, after all Schuldig refuses to admit that he is getting older as well. This is the only complaint made as they prepare for bed; it's become as much a part of the routine as anything else they do.
The bed is way too small for the both of them along with all the pillows and blankets Schuldig refuses to part with as they too are part of this routine, and nothing is allowed to change.
Almost nothing has changed since day one. Schuldig no longer heads to his own bed, or another's, after story time. They've gone through all the books Crawford had, a few of Farfarello's, and Nagi has ordered others from around the world. In any language, from any continent the stories always end the same. And now because the nightmare came, they are alone and looking for a happy ending.
