Link genuinely wasn't sure what to expect; he'd traveled via the Slate many times, of course, but never with another person getting broken down into whatever the Slate did and transported across space in an instant, but there was a very bizarre feeling of far too much intimacy for a brief second than was comfortable, before they were reassembled- properly -on the travel gate, standing exactly as they had been a second ago.
He decided not to ask if she'd noticed that feeling too; that was a conversation that sounded awkward to have at all, much less in teh company of other people.
So instead, he let go of her and the Slate, blinking and mentally checking that everything was pieced together correctly. "All right. It works. Good. I wasn't looking forward to having to walk everywhere again."
He glanced back at Robbie. "You want to write a letter to brag to Purah that you got to see a new function of the Slate explored before her?"
