"Just Zelda and Tokk, I'm afraid," he said, then straightened from his crouch. "I have to jump up to Tarrey Town and let the construction company's stone worker know that he's needed for renovating my house so there's more than one bedroom. I'm living under the stairs at the moment, and that one bedroom doesn't actually have walls between it and the rest of the house."
He stretched his back back into place after being hunched over in that crouch. "We got everything this time?"
Please say yes. He wanted to get home. He would be going right around that cannon, but despite that, he wanted to get back home to Zelda. Just to remind himself why it was worth it to hold up this lie. That door was staying shut and locked and ignored for awhile longer yet, but her smile made him feel better about a lot of the shit he had to do to keep her safe and happy that most people wouldn't, for one reason or another.
