More observations. He'd said 'said or done' in a way that was vague, rather than specifying 'said or done' on the queen's part. If this were only on her part, Link would've specified. Yammo was certain of it. Especially after how firm he'd been that the romantic desires were on the queen's end and not his up to that point.
And she could hear it in his voice, and see it in his eyes. It was subtle, subtle enough that she doubted most people would've picked it up; she doubted even Zumi picked it up, and Zumi knew Link far better than she did. But, that was something she needed to speak with Zumi about after Link had left. She was growing more certain that Link wasn't being honest about his feelings on the subject of the queen's emotions, and Zumi wanted to believe he was.
The real question that Yammo would be watching for the answer to, was who it was Link was lying to. Those around him, or himself. Yammo didn't know him well enough to know that, and neither she nor Zumi had seen him around the queen. Not yet.
She'd be watching. Just as she did with everything, Yammo would be watching.
But that wasn't anything she could do yet, so she set it aside. "We're going to lie," she said simply. "There was someone else who'd passed through shortly before you, a week or so at most."
