Link looked blankly at her. Blinked a couple times. That look became confused. Another two blinks, then a sense of something between acceptance and resignation took a seat next to the confusion.
"I feel like, with as much as I love food, I would remember if that was true or not, but my memory's terrible, so I'll have to take your word on it," he said with a shrug.
The resignation was to just how terrible his memory was. It'd be so nice to be able to sit down and try to examine what has come back and see if any of it would pull the rest of the pieces out of hiding.
"It wouldn't surprise me, though. People eat weird things. Some people live on elixirs, and that's just monster parts ground into a paste with small animals with water added to make it a drink. The modern day wouldn't have any room to judge whoever thought that back then."
Wait, did he ever tell her what was in elixirs besides the monster parts? He couldn't remember. Well, if he hadn't, she'll inevitably say something about it.
