"Hmm." Sayge carefully set his test tube in one of his racks for the chemical to settle and examined one of the sleeves of the outfit. "I've worked with this fabric before, it's been coming through lately from other vendors who are running between here and Gerudo Town. Probably to upsell the dyed outfit." He nodded appreciatively. "Smart business."
He looked back at his series of tubes, considering what colors he had to show off. Link had been doing some supply runs for him, for a finder's fee of course, and that meant that Sayge had a few experimental ingredients to work with.
"I have a new formula I'm working on that would create a gold to make a rich man jealous, if you don't mind letting me run a test on it. I would want to dye the majority of the fabric, then give the designs on the garment a separate dyeing. Or else you'd just end up with a gold outfit. It'd make a shining statement for a queen, but with styles from the other tribes, the patterns are half the appeal of the outfits. You would want to pick a secondary color to go over the yellow markings to give it some contrast. No need to worry about the metal parts, those are a metallic gold, this would be a dustier gold."
See? He likes puns, but they're mostly for the sake of advertising and getting customers excited about his work. ... Mostly. But now we're talking new dye formulas and it's all business.
