"You didn't remember her when that was brought up?" Zelda cringed. "I can imagine how strange that must have been. No wonder it's a touchy subject. I'd be uncomfortable in your shoes too, I would think."
Zelda let the subject drop. She wasn't going to find out anything else on the topic regarding what Link might feel or think about her personally. In fact, translating what he said, it was highly probable that he thought of her as a very good friend, as he did with Mipha, and couldn't remember thinking anything else about her. Or maybe he had second thoughts about the signals he put out a hundred years ago, if he even remembered them. Whatever the case, it was time to let go and move on. She had too much work in front of her to get tangled up in a romantic mess. She remembered being told to find someone low-maintenance, not necessarily someone she was in love with, but someone compatible and low-maintenance, at least long enough to produce a female heir. Link was many things, but low-maintenance was not one of them. Not anymore. And he had too much on his plate now, what with keeping her safe.
She stood up. "What's next on the list of things to do?"
