Boy, there was a lot in all that to reply to, and Link wasn't sure where to start.
Well, start with the easier one.
"I would be surprised if there aren't others in town who can do basic alterations," he said. "It's a life-skill even on the road, honestly. I don't think you should trust what I've picked up out there for something you actually want to look nice in, but if we know it out there, I don't see why they don't in town."
He turned his head slightly again, not hearing any sounds of the drawers being open and shut anymore, but she hadn't said it was safe to turn around, and he wasn't sure he wanted to be looking at her to answer the first part of what she asked. So he looked back at the wall.
"As for how my family knows the Zora royals, I honestly don't know," he said, trying to sound apologetic. "I don't know if I was ever given the story. My grandmother knew them from before I was even born. Dorephan would be able to answer that, though."
He hesitated. "And the greaves I have aren't anything special. The Zora used to make greaves for visiting Hylians, before the Calamity. The woman I got them from gave them as thanks for an errand I ran for her. They were the last pair left from her father's armor shop, before he closed it when Hylians weren't visiting anymore. I got lucky that they fit well enough to not be uncomfortable."
Having his back to her suddenly wasn't enough 'looking away,' and he decided to study the floor. "The armor is something special Mipha made for me and never had a chance to offer before the Calamity. Her father gave it to me because it has an enchantment on it that would help with boarding Ruta."
