Bolson knew he'd lost this argument, and at least Karson's suggestion would make the inside not a boring square to match the outside. And despite his desire to keep the outside looking... well, not even 'quirky,' there wasn't anything 'quirky' about a building that wasn't a square. But despite that, the third wall being an open bar-style half-wall was going to be better for Link to keep the queen- and anyone else in the house -safe, and that came long before aesthetics.
So he studied the wall where Karson had suggested putting that bar counter, then looked back at the queen. "It does," he said. "Although if this house is the same as the others in town, that would hardly be difficult. The very mountain the town presses against is the same stone that was used to build it. We would still need Greyson's assistance in mining the rock, but that could be done quickly, and we could work on that while he focuses on the walls. They require a more expert touch than the foundation would. The foundation doesn't need to be pretty, just secure and functional. It's not visible."
