Link glanced up at the wall clock, wondering if she misjudged how long she'd been writing, or if the clock on the Slate was wrong and he'd taken longer than that estimated half hour, before looking back at her to answer her question.
The more truthful answer was that it'd been a rather unhappy one, with that conversation he had to have, but the whole point of that conversation was to hide the reason it had taken place in the first place, so rather than say anything on that to explain any potentially sour replies he might have without meaning or wanting to, he made a point of walking halfway towards the washroom, without quite passing her entirely, and turned to face her fully, motioning down to his slightly damp clothes and boots.
