Karson nodded, giving his boss and Leop a thumbs up. "I'm going to need proper tools to get an exact on the outside wall, where the slope is gonna be," he said as the two men walked in. "But we have the other numbers. And she's right, I was figuring she'd get about ten feet, from far back wall to inside wall by the stairs, but I was off."
Bolson gave him a shocked look. "By how much?"
Okay, Karson didn't want to admit to this. "'Bout two feet." At his boss's aghast look, Karson rubbed the back of his neck, a bit embarrassed. "I was busy focusing on how to make spiral stairs work when I made my first estimate."
Oh, that made sense. Bolson nodded once. "Well, new ideas are always more interesting than the old and usual." Then he looked at Leop. "I believe that means it's your turn, my friend."
