Karson's eyes got wide as he listened to what sounded like nonsensical babbling, lifting one hand to prop his chin on it, elbows still on the railing. The longer she went on, the higher one eyebrow got in confusion.
"You mean Ganon told you all this while you were trapped in the castle with him?" he asked, trying to get at least that much clarified out of that mess. She did say that Ganon had insisted about that other royal daughter being a coward, but that didn't make any of this make any more sense, and Ganon telling her this stuff seemed like the only thing he could ask about that she could confirm that would make sense.
"And this is the Calamity from ten thousand years ago? Or did this all happen more than once before that?"
That seemed like it'd make more sense than that all of that babble speak she was obviously echoing from someone else's babble speak and not her own mind being about one incident. Ten thousand years was a long time for their stories about the Great Calamity to get warped from the way things really were to many levels, but the stories he and everyone else grew up with said that Hyrule knew Ganon was coming, and that they prepared with the Guardians and the Divine Beasts, and the presence of those things now gave more credence to the idea that the nonsense Ganon had apparently told the queen was from some previous fight- or maybe more than one -and not that Hyrule's legends about the Calamity of ten thousand years ago somehow were that wrong.
