He spared a glance at Karson, who'd obviously decided to extract himself from the discussion that was more of a friendly-banter-that-pretended-to-be-a-disagreement and head upstairs to start doing that eyeballing for those measurements, before looking back at Zelda.
"But I mean it," he said, lowering his voice slightly now that Karson had moved away from being in hearing range of any volume their voices could be at, "the fruitcake's something special for you. If I need to bribe someone with food, it'll be something else."
