That had Karson floundering a little. He'd never actually worked with spiral staircases before. He knew how they worked in theory, but practice wasn't something he could boast. He turned the paper back around to stare at it, even though it had nothing on it that'd help him visualize the stairs she was proposing.
Not used to having to think about extra levels of politeness in royal company, he stood up without a word, leaving the pen and paper on the table to walk over to the stairs and study them, along with the space that currently opened into the loft bedroom, but would have a wall cutting that bedroom off from the rest of the house.
Bolson watched him, awaiting his decision, but decided to be nice to his employee and keep the queen and Link from staring him down while he tried to think. "I'm rather enamored by the idea of a spiral staircase," he said, hopefully taking their attention at least partially off Karson. "And I regret we wouldn't be able to give you the beautiful balcony you suggested. But-" he glanced to the front door, giving it a bit of an evil look, which he smoothed away into mild annoyance when he looked back at the queen, "-it seems that somehow, the lovely sign I built has been removed. I could offer that space for something to make up for it. A structure that would allow you to work outside on the days it is nice, perhaps?"
