He laughed at her overly magnanimous approval of his idea. "So glad I have royal permission to do what I was going to do anyway."
Zelda's caveat made him look up from the Slate, where he was looking for what all he wanted to put into breakfast, and give her a tolerant smile. "Zelda, just because someone's doing chores for you, doesn't mean they're going to think you're making them servants. For one, we'd be paying her. For another, we're not going to be home much the next couple days, we won't have time to do it ourselves. It's not like we'd be hiring her just so we could be lazy."
Onto the counter went a couple carrots and a couple of mushrooms with distinctly golden caps. "I know you're worried how you're going to be seen by people. But you're worrying a bit too much on this one. So relax, go clean up, and I'll have your breakfast close to done by the time you're done."
