Link smiled, and this time, he really wished she could see it. It was one of his rare heartfelt ones, not the personable, 'keep everyone 10 feet away' ones that most people got.
"Especially since nobody alive knows what she looked like to be honest about that," he said, turning the Slate back around and stepping back- he knew that Buliara wasn't comfortable enough with him yet to like him being too close to Riju more than necessary. "If I'd had enough memories that she was in when I met you, I might've said something earlier. Because you look like she would've at your age."
Which is why he'd wanted that picture. In some ways, Zelda was a nigh-stranger to him, with the way his memory loss had 'reset' his life, but in even more ways, he knew her better than he'd known most people in his life. And the Him That Knew Her had a funny feeling that either a part of her mind was replacing Urbosa with Riju- not purposely, but he knew it'd be easy to do by accident -or she was trying so hard to do the opposite that seeing someone that similar to her oldest friend whom she'd never see again would be a potentially unwelcome shock.
Either way, it'd be a 'better safe than sorry' idea to get that picture for Zelda, to brace her if she needed it.
