"I believe it would be," Saula said sympathetically. "Please, sit." She slid over a stool for the vai while she grabbed a sample eyeliner pencil.
Once the vai was settled, Saula moved the mirror that- yes, was mounted, was mounted on a display wall that was separate from the walls of the building itself -to where the vai could watch what Saula was doing.
"Just so you know, it can be very difficult to not want to close your eyes when the pencil's near," she warned the vai. "It's not as difficult as when it's yourself using it, but it can sometimes take a little practice to not do it when others are applying it for you. So I need you to trust that I'm not going to poke you with this and keep your eyes open. It helps if you look a little to the side. But not too much, that would defeat the purpose if you couldn't watch what I'm doing."
