Link was fully expecting to be making the next two stops without much if any interaction with the locals, going to Rito Village first, then planning on jumping up to Goron City. He still wasn't sure which to go to first after that- Zora's Domain, or Gerudo Town. Both were going to involve more than a wave to anyone who happened to see him and said hello, and he wanted to get a chance to get his brain eased out of the messy subject it'd been stuck in for the last not-quite-hour.
He realized, however, upon reaching Rito Village, that the architecture there didn't give a lot of clues about the local styles and customs. He didn't have to be a fashion designer to figure out that Sophie was going to need pictures of the actual clothes worn by people there.
Well, he'd seen Amali up on the flight platform by the shrine, if any of people there would understand what exactly he was doing by holding up the Slate to take their picture, it was her.
So after getting all the way down to the deck that Fyson had lounged about and sulked on before getting directed to Tarrey Town before coming to his conclusion, he headed back up the wooden path that wrapped around the pillar of stone that sat at the center of the village. He paused to take a couple pictures of the signs of the stores, and a candid-and-therefore-not-very-good shot of a couple of the citizens whose names he didn't know.
Amali was alone up on the flight platform, her back to the village, watching out towards Warbler's Nest. She must not've noticed him walking by earlier when he landed at the shrine.
"Hey, Amali," he said, making sure his footsteps made a bit more noise that time than when he'd shown up, just to keep from startling her too much.
