"In a way, he's not too dissimilar from Sophie, in that he has grand ideas for his work, takes it seriously, and just doesn't have any market for any of it here, because everyone's stuck in their ways and nobody wants to try anything new. Biggest difference, age and gender aside, is that Sophie's withdrawn and a bit nervous dealing with people, and Bolson is just the opposite.
