"I got more water!" Karin called as she hurried up the hill, pitcher filled to almost overflowing, a fact made obvious by the way it splashed a bit with her rushed steps.
"Karin, honey, slow down," Clavia said as the little girl came into view and the sloshing water was plain to see. "You're spillin' it, and you're getting your clothes wet. The men ain't dyin', they can wait while you walk normally."
"Sorry, Mama," Karin said, slowing to a proper walk. "But I got that water, just like I said!"
