I do remember hearing talk about it being among a wife's duties, and advice being handed out to just think of other, more pleasant things."
Zelda shook her head. "I haven't even thought about the whole heir issue yet. There's barely a kingdom to inherit. I have so much work to do first."
That, and the only male she had been -- still was -- attracted to didn't seem terribly interested in her, not as much as he used to be, and even back then it wasn't something she was certain on. Now he had more freedom, he wasn't a Royal Guard under the constraints of Court, he also had more freedom to find and meet others. For all she knew, what she took to be interest on his part back then might have simply been the result of a lack of options.
With the eggshells their interactions seemed to walk on half the time since the end of Ganon, that wasn't a topic which presented itself as a good one to bring up. Especially when whatever sort of attraction she thought was there before seemed to be nonexistent from his end.
Damn him for being as easy to read as a mud-splattered waterlogged book with most of the ink faded out.
