Ivee made a noise of thoughtful agreement, though it was more immediately as a way to acknowledge that she'd heard the queen, but it was going to take her a second to answer, focusing on getting the cut poultry into the frying pan.
Once she could set the carving knife aside, she grabbed another skillet and put some butter in to melt. "I'm guessing it's probably going to be a hard line to walk, between living up to the expectation of how you're supposed to look without looking full of yourself in the process. Some people won't be happy either way, don't bother trying to please everyone."
She looked over at the queen. "But you at least need some nice things for when you meet the tribe leaders, right? Sophie would kiss your hands if you let her design something. She loved making Ralera's wedding dress, but I know she would love a chance to do something fancier. We just never have had need of anything like that." She smiled. "You won't have to worry too much about her going nuts, though. We may not have pictures the way that Slate makes them, but our books have pictures in them, we know how fancy some of the dresses the royals and higher born ladies wore. Since we lost everyone who wore those things in the Calamity, you don't have to worry that styles changed while you were stuck in the castle at least."
She turned back to the butter, laughing as something occurred to her. "You know, since that's the truth, you can make the style whatever you want it to be. I think Sophie would give you her life savings if you gave her any say in starting entire new fashion trends. That's after she's done kissing your hands."
