Between Link already saying the whole show was for Tokk's sake- at least mostly his sake -and Tokk's wet-eyed thank you, just how happy he sounded, that was enough to quiet any other protests there might be over how overdone it all was. It certainly seemed that way to them, but Tokk was one of their own, and Link was right- the old man wouldn't likely live long enough to see the real thing. It was a sombering thought that they all shared, but kept quiet.
There wasn't any more kneeling, but Narah- followed quickly by the other children -started clapping and hip-hip-hooraying, which elicited a round of applause that even Amira got in on. She had to elbow Nikki to get her to reluctantly join in, but she did.
