Link studied her, wishing they were somewhere more private, where he could give her just a hug. She may have been showing a brave enough face, but he knew her better than that. That was a regret that had hung over her head every day they'd known each other, and only got worse as time went on.
But, she was obviously doing her best to hide the worst of that, so he turned back to his food. "You weren't given any instruction and told to try to learn the wrong way," he said. "Anyone who thinks that someone can magically learn how to do something by only being taught to do it the wrong way doesn't deserve the time and effort anyway."
