Reede smiled at her, nodding once in agreement, then looked back at the others. "Yes, we do. I know this is not quite the norm for us, but we rarely have those who are completely unfamiliar to the town move in, and our two new citizens are rather special."
He looked at his wife briefly, who smiled and motioned in encouragement, something he sorely needed at that moment. This was by far one of the most nervewracking things he'd ever done. It was second only to the first time he held Karin in his arms.
"I'm sure by now that you've all heard their names, and we've been familiar with Link for quite some time. And I have heard from all of you your opinions about someone bearing the royal name without being royalty, but in a somewhat shocking turn of events, such is not the case. This young woman is, in fact, the very same princess that saved us all from the onslaught of the Calamity." He paused to let the wave of whispers pass through and then die down. "I'm sure you all think I've lost my mind, but I've seen proof, and our friend Tokk confirms her identity. Our princess has been trapped inside the castle for the last century, and has finally return to us. And we've been fortunate that she's chosen to make Hateno her home."
