There was nothing about that calmness in her voice that made him think she was going to tattle behind his back, whether to Zelda or to the king if he were still around, but it still was never a safe thing to do, to say something against the king. So he still was swallowing back a sick lump of anger and fear that was hitting his gut.
"Yes, please," he said, starting to turn away, then paused, remembering that Kass should be there at any time, and she should know. "Hey, there's going to be a Rito man here soon, his name's Kass. Big guy, blue feathers, carries an accordion. Zelda invited him, he's the student of the former court bard, Zelda figured this'd be something special for him, to come meet her.
