"Not bad," Link said, watching where the girls had gone before looking back at Kass. "Ready to get to work. The village leaders and I are having to slow her down a bit. She was wanting to already start appointing court officials." He shook his head, chuckling in fond amusement. "She's going to be the death of all of us."
Then something crossed his mind, his brows knitting together unhappily. "Do me a favor though? No matter when you meet her, don't bring up what your teacher knew about why her powers woke up when they did. That's not a subject we've discussed yet, I don't want her to feel put on the spot."
Or for him to be put on the spot. He couldn't give her any sort of definitive answer on his part, and living under each other's feet with that sort of thing hanging over their heads was going to make things that much more awkward for everyone involved.
