Hello, hello! I'm Jessica and I have Crow here. Her real name is Wrona Amsel, but not many people know that (in fact, she can count on one hand how many people that do) since she usually goes by the name of Cornelia Black when dealing with people. She owns the Unicorn's Horn (and I'll write up a little blurb for the locations page soon), a strange goods and oddities shop (think shrunken heads, bat spit, and lizard toes, etc.) located on the outskirts of the market, but is rarely seen actually working there since she's too busy doing things and stuff elsewhere.
Her ability allows her to control and merge with shadows and she very much enjoys using it to sneak up on people for a good scare. She can be friendly when she wants to be, but usually prefers being an annoying pain in the ass instead. :\ Carnivorous type in the sense that she likes the taste of human flesh, though she tries not to let everyone know about her strange eating habits (eyeballs and spiders are yum, she says), since that's probably a big no no in a lot of people's eyes and she doesn't want to end up getting hunted down by the angry villagers with their pitchforks and shovels. :[ Oh, and she also knows a thing or two about potions. 8D

Hello, lovelies! Following suit with character dos - a shy little Violet, who goes by Violetta Vale. Creative? Sure. She will also respond to Vi or Violet, she's not terrible picky.
She spends most of her time in the Garden tending to the other flowers, making sure they're all growing nicely, etc. When she's not playing gardener, she likes to sit out in her personal garden beneath the shade with a good book and a cup of tea. Or water. She rarely ever travels outside of her little home and when she does, she doesn't go far. She's modest, a peacemaker and kind of afraid of everything.
Her abilities are:
PERFUMED - violets are often used in perfumes for their "flirtatious" scent and have come to be seen as a symbol of love whether by being gifted to lovers or used in love potions. Violetta's scent can be intoxicating and helps people view her as more attractive than she is. This ability is most prominent in the Spring. Unfortunately, Violetta can't choose who it effects, nor can she really control it.
SOOTHING - violets were also used to calm tempers and to help people sleep. A simple touch from Violetta and a few soothing words, tends to do just that - soothing the recipient of her touch so that they calm down. Close contact is necessary for her to put someone to sleep, however, she might just pluck and petal or two to give to those with insomnia.

Hello kittens, it's Miri again with character number 2!
This lovely girl here is Pixie Byron, the bb!sister of Little Byron. She's a hormone-driven 18 year-old, who has recently left home to start a life on her own, but things are not working the way she thought they would work. The little piggy here is extremely overwhelmed by all the new stuff and doesn't know how to deal with it all, though OMG never would she admit that.
She has an attitude and wants to seem like she's badass, even though Pixie really isn't. In fact, she is quite the contrary- afraid of each and everything. Pix is unable to take care of herself and would like to go back to the roost, but that would comfirm that she's failed.
She can predict changes of weather and her sense of smell is pretty damn awesome. Furthermore, she can shift into pig form and is allergic to pepper. Moar about her can be found here
At the moment, the piglet works at a restaurant and she needs pretty much everything: friends, enemies, more relatives and guides. ♥

This here, is yoursmoking hot Duchess of Spades. Her name is Lucinda Gray and she is unhappily and arrangedly married to the Duke of Spades. Luce is always busy with stuff and she seems like she can't sit still at all. She usually is stressed out and untypically emotional for a Spade, yet she is true to her Spade morals (loyalty etc). Luce is also a very stubborn person and if she doesn't get what she wants, thinks will break. Literally. She's also rather strong and extremely fast, even for a Spade. Girl also can't get drunk, which sucks when your unhappily married and completely overworked.

Unhappily & arrangedly married to Miri's smoking hot Duchess. He's super strong and can break you with his hands. He's silent, uses intimidation for things but not unkind. Though he's not super thrilled about being married to the Duchess, he doesn't like anyone saying anything bad about her. Does pretty much what is expected of him and doesn't think for himself very often - takes family, duty, honor way too seriously. Definitely a Queen's man, because he has to be. His app is more coherent and found here.

Alright, an ooc post was demanded, so voila.
This is The Dormouse. Well, not The Dormouse from the stories, but his nephew. And since his Uncle is missing presumed dead and his mother is now living her life fully in dormouse form, he is, for all intents and purposes The Dormouse. Which is good because he sometimes forgets the human moniker he chose for himself (he was born in his dormouse form you see). Siska Dormer is the name he goes by in humanoid form -when he remembers - but people he hasn't properly introduced to would just know him as the Dormouse. And I just rambled for a paragraph about his name.
Anyway. He works at the Tea House, is narcoleptic, meaning he will fall asleep at any given time and place without warning, has sometimes prophetic dreams, is addicted to pills and things, is the master of the non-sequitor, hates cats and predatory birds (and predators in general), also hates the queen but keeps that to himself, draws on any surface he can, seems half asleep much of the time but is actually very sharp of mind, takes his tea with cream and treacle, and climbs trees a lot, as dormice are want to do.

I have an addiction to all black everything, and a penchant for jewelry that looks like it could take someone's eye out. :L I also like to write, obviously. And I like reading stuff by Kafka, Lovecraft, and Poe.

He's been picked on his whole life for being tiny compared to his siblings (with one exception), kind of a weakling, and just being sort of an easy target. He's really a sweetheart, but he's sort of messy, and would probably eat you out of house and home, given half the chance. He can't exactly help it. He's got a lot of quirks and tends to get defensive rather quickly. Still, though. He tries to be nice to people, as long as they're kind to him.

The giddy little kitten you see in the icon is Chessica Von Cheshire, aka the Cheshire Cat. She might just be the most frighteningly lucid of the so-called mad crew, which you can take however you like. She enjoys people-watching, naps, bothering Hare and Hatter, and fomenting rebellion in her own special way. Chess is a friendly cat, and usually doesn't attempt to eat any small animals who can plead their case.
I plan on bringing in two others soon enough as seen on the 'Holds' page, and if anyone feels like plotting with me my contact info is on my application. I suggest emailing or gchatting since unless I'm indisposed/sleeping my phone is typically within reach.

First a little about me for those that don't already know; I am a psychology major looking into criminal psychology as a career but finding myself head deep in Theatre. Heh. I work for the Theatre department at my college and mostly do lighting. ^_^ I work at fan conventions, cosplay and run around with an Acting Troope. I'm just a nerd really.
Now for my characters:
Currently, I play Maddison Hatter, the son of the former Mad Hatter in the age of legends. He is, well, mad. After the death of his father he spiraled ever further into it and often losses himself in his 'special' teas. He is the official owner of the Tea House, though he relies on his workers to keep track of things.
His powers are Temporal Manipulation- due to the curse placed on the Tea party by Time initially. And Hat Trick- in which he must have a hat to do his minor tricks, mostly he uses it as a Mary Poppin's bag though even he doesn't know what really is inside there.
He is flirtatious, crazy, sometimes rude, distracted by tea, childish and when lucid he's very angry or sad- so he tries not to allow that to happen often.
I also play Darian Dymond,rarediamond Knave of Diamonds, son to the Duchess and Duke of Diamonds. As far as he is aware his father died in the Chess war and in his will said he wanted all five of his kids killed as well. He was also forced to give up his rights as the heir to the Duke's seat and any property, etc he could have had. He fought in the war also, found what the Queen had done so disgusting that he was embarassed to be a Diamond. Finding his way into the Rebellion, he acts as a spy for them while running a pub that secretly holds a safehouse underneath it.
"Sharp, clever and always able to make a good living using his wits and charm. This Knave is the embodiment of what every Diamond wants to be. He is very independent and operates as much from instincts as he does from his quick mind."
Darian's diamond affinities are that of Placation and Harm. His mother was capable of all four while his father had a strong ability in harm which ended up with him having two affinities. You can read how they work at his bio.

Hello, potential players! Jill here, one of the modly types, letting you all know that Thirteen and I intend to open the game once we have a few more applications in! However, if anyone who has had characters accepted already is interested in starting off anything before we officially open with any other currently accepted players, we urge you to feel free to start things via AIM, Email, or Gdocs.
