Humpty liked showing off his expansive vocabulary whenever he had an opportunity to do so. He couldn't say for certain if it was out of a need to impress others or just because he liked to do it, but either way he felt it was a good thing. "Oh, certainly, though it couldn't just be any field. It would have to a field that someone prepared ahead of time, and I do agree that the person being wooed should meet specific standards as well." Standards were important, since most people didn't seem to have any. Then there was Humperdinck, who had an overabundance of standards.
"Excellent," Humpty responded in a cheerful tone, thinking that now they were getting somewhere. He watched as Ariel removed the suit piece by piece, appreciating the care the tailor took with his work. It was obvious that he was proud of his creation, and Humpty hoped he could do it justice. Not that he doubted himself, but sometimes you never did know how things might turn out.
Once inside the changing room Humpty considered Ariels' words. "If you feel you have a tie and shoes that will help put the polish on the ensemble then I'd very much like to try them." That's what he was here for, so why not? Perhaps he could convince Ariel to help him revamp his look to something more eye-catching, since they did say the clothes made the man.
As he spoke he began stripping, unselfconscious about the possibility of being seen naked. He was an attractive man, in shape, and had nothing to be overly modest about. Besides, Ariel made clothes for a living, so he probably wasn't a prude when it came to the naked body.
