"I know, isn't it?" Humpty replied, with a blithe tone. "I try as well, but sometimes it's so difficult," he murmured, glancing back at Ariel with a slight smile. "But then again we were talking about you and not me, so I do apologize for that." Not that he felt he had anything to apologize for, but he didn't want to make things all about him until they absolutely needed to be.
In Humpty's mind he could pul off whatever he wanted to with ease, but such was the curse of being young, smart, pretty, and just generally great in all respects. If only he could find someone he felt was worthy of him, but that was a gripe for another time. Today, he was concentrating on improving his sartorial state, and he could just tell that coming to Golden Whimsy was a good choice indeed for achieving that goal.
"Which is, again, why I'm here. Work clothes are, as they say, a proverbial dime a dozen, but real clothes, the type that make the man, as they say, carry a much greater worth as I'm sure you're well aware. No no, garments such as these are far too grandiose to be worn in a field... well, unless you're wooing someone in said field, I suppose."
When Humpty heard the price he nodded, expecting it to be somewhere in that range. A suit such as that would be worth the price, he'd already decided that he wanted it, and while he'd like to say money was no object he didn't want to seem that douchey. "I would like to try it on, please. Can you direct me to a changing room?"
